Celebrating the Spring 2026 Changemakers

We proudly recognize the students who participated in the Spring 2026 cohort, each of whom brought curiosity, compassion and commitment to their changemaking journey. These students are celebrated for taking an early step toward creating more good in the world and making lasting impacts.

Celebrating our sixth Changemaker Pathways cohort and the third year of this growing initiative is a powerful reminder of the community being built within the Do Good ecosystem. It’s especially exciting to now see past changemakers continuing their journeys through opportunities like the Do Good Challenge, showing just how impactful these experiences can be over time. Watching this current cohort develop their ideas, support one another, and imagine bold solutions for their communities makes us incredibly excited for all they will achieve in the future.

A Semester of Exploration, Action and Impact

This semester, Changemakers participated in six in-person sessions, offered at two different times each Tuesday to accommodate student schedules. Here's a look at their journey:

  • February 24: Welcome and Introduction
Students kicked off the semester by getting to know each other and grounding themselves in the Do Good Institute’s mission and values.
  • March 3: Changemaker Exploration
Students reflected on their values, explored social issues they care about and began to identify how they want to show up as changemakers.
  • March 10: Project Creation 101
This hands-on session helped students generate actionable ideas for addressing the causes they care about most.
  • March 24: Idea Exploration and Professional Development
Featuring a case study of Roots Africa, developed by the Do Good Research Lab, students dove into real-world impact models and reflected on how to move their own ideas forward.
  • March 31: Do Good Student and Faculty Panel
A diverse group of panelists joined the cohort to share their changemaking journeys, including:
    • Soli T. Abera: Community Mental Health Support: Accelerator Fellow
    • Arianna Jahangir: Teen Age Riot Collective; Accelerator Fellow
    • Tanasha Yvonne Dalton: BMORE Girls; Accelerator Fellow
    • Yara Ayache: The Spirit of Success: Accelerator Fellow
    • Julia Atemafac: Terps Crown and Glory: Accelerator Fellow
    • Joanna Chang: More than a Patient: A Conference on Medical Discrimination: Accelerator Fellow
    • Medhnaa Saran: Touch of Life: Accelerator Fellow
  • April 7: Session 6 — Changemaker Celebration
The cohort came together one final time to reflect on their growth, share insights, and celebrate the completion of their journey with community and joy.
